Split rim hubcaps?

Anybody seen these?. They are a little bigger that the standard hubcaps and the center comes out a little more, they have these weird clips on the back that look like they must be made for split rims or something. I have a full set in almost perfect shape and need to figure out what kind of wheels they fit.

Re: Split rim hubcaps?

Those were the option for the 16" wheels.

Re: Split rim hubcaps?

They are roughly 16" the outer clips stick out past the edge of the rim though, they may be 16.5 or something. Whatever they are they have to be pretty rare because I've never seen another set.

Re: Split rim hubcaps?

Could they be hub caps for 3/4 ton. My 71 gmc 3/4ton 2wd has 16.5x8 rims.

Re: Split rim hubcaps?

Looks like the same style hubcaps that are on this kick-ass GMC.

That looks like them. I'm going to message him and ask what size the wheels are

Re: Split rim hubcaps?

those are 73 to 75... the yellow bow tie gives it away pretty quick.
Take a real close look and see if it isn't a regular hubcap snapped into a spacer ring.

Thats exactly what it is. Now it can go on a 16" wheel. I have seen a few of these and it seems they all have the plastic center used on a 4x4 cap.
(i thought the extra ring was already determined as a seperate piece)
