Where is the best place to get the white plastic clips that hold a piece of the door trim and the upper bed side trim? I dont think i can save mine anymore a few of them have broke with very little handling. And also what os the best way o polish up the trim on these trucks without taking it too far? ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any of the vendors that sell the trim also sell the clips in a set. The trim was anodized and still has that on it. So they are hard to polish with out removing the coating. There are methods for doing it at home available on the net. I took my cab trim to a local plater and they stripped them. I am almost done polishing them then they are going back to be anodized again.

Like the sign guy says, you may shine the trim up a little with a coat of wax, but to really polish the metal you first must totally remove the anodizing. One can do it the hard way and sand it off with a fine abrasive. Others have reported using oven cleaner with some success. I bought some "anodizing remover" solution at a swap meet and it works quickly. Once the aluminum is bare, you can straighten it out and polish it like a mirror fairly easily. Wax will then help it stay bright, or have it re-anodized.

Sodium Hydroxide will strip anodizing right off aluminum. Key ingrediant in Drano. Just be sure to do outdoors because of the fumes. 1TBSP per gallon water
