Re: fan shroud ?

Just wondering....... My truck didn't come with a fan shroud, but I'm wondering if an original would fit my 64 truck? It has a later 350 Chevy small block. The radiator appears to fit as original, but would the fan on a 350 engine be centered in the same spot as the original 283?
Haven't had the chance to see what it's going to do in warm temps, as I just recently got it on the road after restoration...... highs are now in the 30's.
Thanks.

ALL smallblocks are the same size physically. The only difference would be if the engine location was moved front/rear or if you have a short or long waterpump; or a combination of these options with original engine perches. I would guess an original shroud would work as long as the gap between the engine and radiator were relatively the same.

Re: fan shroud ?

Two questions arise are you using short or long water pump, and are you using rear engine mount holes in crossmember will dictate where your fan resides. In other words how far is your fan from radiator?
Mine is rear mount holes short water pump three inch fan extension, 6 blade fixed fan.
