CPP Steering Joints
Do the CPP Steering U-Joints need to be painted to prevent rusting?

Re: CPP Steering Joints
I have the "nickel" plated version.
I've heard from Porterbuilt that they do corrode when they get wet. Not sure if it's the joint or the set screws and nuts. I will use borgeson joints from now on. http://www.borgeson.com/

Re: CPP Steering Joints
The nickle plate will rust over time on the u-joints we had that issue back when we used to carry Flaming river joints.
As lolife99 said above Borgeson is the way to go and there is one more option to go with are Uni-steer u-joints they are S.S and they do have more adjustment than others on the market but they are bigger in dia.We have both in stock and if we can help you all out let us know.We have some good prices on both. Re: CPP Steering Joints
Thanks guys! I have the nickel plated CPP joints already, although I wish I would have gone with the Borgeson ones now, only because of the corrosion issue. CPP's work well, just like a little bit of bling and didn't want to cover it up. Guess I'll just paint em black and call it a day
