High hump?

Where can you go to purchase a HIGH HUMP floor pan. I am going to be installing a 6l80e and need the room. I have looked and haven't seen it yet. Maybe I am blind. Any help?

Also, what is the size bolts that connect the tranny to the block? Haven't gotten everything as of yet but is on the way. Just want to have everything so I can get the install started ASAP. lol

thx!!

Re: High hump?

I have never seen new high humps for sale, usually a person has to get them off a truck in the junk yards. Also you could search the parts for sale part of this web-site.

Re: High hump?

The parts board would be the first place to look for a good, useable part. Here are a couple of links and it should be noted that Street Smart put a LSX/6L80E under a low hump with some mods in his '67 Suburban.

Re: High hump?

If you want new, you can get the low hump they have out and just cut the center out, lightly round over the edges, drill the holes, tack in some square nuts under the holes and bolt in a used center hump. (that's all there is to it!)

That's what I did with my wrecker resto and it was real easy. Worked great and can't even tell the difference.
