looking for some advice on lowering and wheel/tire combos. i cant find a good setup that will make my wheels reach the edges of my fenders and still look good, same with tires. and i also cannot find a set of springs that will make the truck look good and not have a ton of tire on a 15 inch rim. HELP! suggestions needed

Not sure what you mean by "make my wheels reach the edges of my fenders" But If you mean you want to tuck the top of the tires and leave the rim exposed then you have some options such as; springs, spindles, cross members, control arms, and airbags assembled in various combinations.
Your best bet is to read a bunch of build threads on here and note the setups you like.
One bit of advice though, in order to get a 15" tire that fills the wheel opening properly will have a fairly tall sidewall to it. If you want a lower profile tire that looks good- you'll most likely need to run a 17"-20" rim. Again, check out some build threads and get some ideas.

I put 15x10's on the back of my '69, with 15x8's up front. Backspacing on my fronts are 4-inches while the rears have a 5-inch BS.

On your '70, your rear axle is approximately 1-inch wider than the '60-69's. I did an ECE drum to disc conversion, and that added about an inch to the width (track) of my front end.

My truck is completely blown apart, but I'll throw a pic on here that doesn't show how it looks very well. Should be some others with better pix. As you can see in the lower pic, my tires didn't stick out past the edge of the wheel opening. In fact, they were inside the opening and the fronts could be made to bottom out in extreme situations, but I deferred from that kind of stuff.

I just mean to have the edge of the tire be in line with the rim, and havr the edge of the tire be in line with the fender, not stick out, but not tucked inside

I don't remember the drop (9yrs old), it's a CPP full kit drop/swaybar setup.

front: 15x8, stock offset, 245/60/15
rear: 15x10, 5.25 BS. 275/60/15
