can anyone identify the year
I was out in the woods earlier today and came across this old step van. I don't know much about the old Chevys but assume it is from in the 40's? At first glance it does not appear to be to rotten but did not look to long at it. Talk about a patina finish.... would look cool with an updated frame and drivetrain.

Re: can anyone identify the year
Man that thing sure has possibilities! A friend of mine is hot rodding an old Divco milk truck, I think he would ditch the Divco for that puppy

Re: can anyone identify the year
I'd go by the emblem. Is that a '54? I knew from the first picture the body company emblem was a Boyertown. Cool truck. UPS had aluminum versions of the actual Chevy StepVan back then. More rounded and bodies that lasted. A builder I subcontracted from in the late-80s used one for storage and I wanted it bad!

Re: can anyone identify the year
I am trying to get in touch with the owner to see if it might be available. Would require tons of "work" just to get it out. But I do think it would be a cool build. One of the guys that work with me would not go within 100' of it said it reminded him of the truck from Jeepers Creepers movie. I never saw the movie I guess so it did not bother me. Even if I had, once I saw the chebby grill I had to investigate. LOL

Re: can anyone identify the year
There is an old Divco around here that a guy slammed to the ground and painted with flames. Definitely unique. And perfect for a small business too!
