Re: 64 coe, dinos next little big truck?

Yeah, I know that COE stands for Cab over Engine (thats why I said this truck is not a cab over), but Aerotruk63 said it was an L.C.F. What does that stand for? Just trying to expand our knowledge base here.

Low Cab Forward. The last Cab Over Engine was in '59,except for the T-series Crackerbox. The LCF was a design to keep the truck somewhat short while bringing the cab height down. The cab is actually a high cab when compared to the conventional cabs, but those trucks weren't offered with the larger truck motors and offered less visibility,as well as added to overall length.

Re: 64 coe, dinos next little big truck?

So is the cab interchangeable to a regular 1/2 ton cab?

Besides the short hood & the extended fenders is there any difference from the 1/2 tons?

Re: 64 coe, dinos next little big truck?

the footwell area has a notch in it for the tire to clear... the doors are the same.
there also looks to be a front floor brace that runs all the way across that is different.
