The 1968 Chevy P10 (shorty stepvan!)
Hi guys,
I am new to here and hopefully I will able get lot useful information such 4x4 swap, disc vs drum, leaf spring vs coil spring and etc for my new project 1968 P10 shorty Stepvan. Yep a Stepvan, probably rare and not many people like them. But I do like the big windows, barn doors, and big space! It have 250 straight 6 cylinder engine with TH350 auto. It looks like it have same C10 Chevy truck short bed frame chassis? I am thinking swap the frame from 71'-72' K10 Chevy truck but it's not same the coil springs setup. I am not sure which one better coil springs or leaf springs for light off road 4x4? It seem coil springs offer more soft ride but terrible when driving fast turning at corner or sudden change lanes. Ok here the picture.. Yes I know its ugly paint color... but perhaps it was before Santa's van? Don't worry I'll post more pictures later |

Welcome to the board! Love those vans! The grille looks like a late 40's early 50's...not sure on the frame...hopefully someone else can help with that.
If I ever opened a cabinet shop that would be my delivery van of choice
