Hi new to this, I picked up a 70c10 shortbed was wondering what suspension from any newer model trucks would work for my restoration? Or is it just better to rebuil what I have? Thanks for any help..

If you plan to restore, rebuild what you have. If you plan to customize and than as 67cheby mentioned let us know what you have now leaf or coil springs and what you want to do with it. Cruise, race, both, or just don't like what you have?

Hi, thanks,i wanna lower the truck as much as I can without using bags and maintain a decent ride..im thinkin some nice 20s that I can tuck with a 40 series tire..workin on sandblasting the frame and then start replacing bushings and what not..have a stepside bed but really wanna locate a fleetside for it...as far as color right now I have a few ideas but not sure..i have a 400 small block with vortec heads im thinkin of puttin in..just want a nice driver to take to local car shows and just cruz..any help with ideas or pointers would be great...my first project.

I see your in AZ! Welcome! And I also see you are looking at a fleetside bed, and I just so happen to want a short step. I have a short fleet haha. We should trade beds!

ive checked out porterbuilt products and seems to be thats what alot of people are using..any other recomondations? Id like to go as low as I can..i have stock front suspention and rear trailing arm...thanks

Welcome from Central Florida! You're going to love this place.
Frame should'nt be a problem. Good starter truck...2-1/2" drop spindles with 2" drop springs, 5" drop rear springs with a shock relocator kit and a adjusable track bar should be low enough and keep a decent ride quality. With your 400 should be fun.

Hey guys I wanna sell that stepside bed if I cant trade for a fleetside...whats a good askin price theres no rust and a fe ew dents that were fixed and tail gate is shot...any suggestions..thanks

Well, it kinda depends on where you want to end up. Show worthy, daily driver, rat rod or something inbetween. First step is to spend the $25 and be a subscribing member so you can buy and sell parts here and post stuff like 'whats it worth' etc. You will not regret it.
I assume you want a driver then work your way up, if that's the case then a decent fleetside bed will cost you $1000-$1500. You should be able to sell your stepper for $750-$1000. The best deal would be to trade your stepper for a fleet and not have to spend big out of pocket money right away.
Your in AZ so you have a lot of rust free sheet metal around (and lots of forum members close by).
In the mean time fix all the mechanicals you can so its roadworthy.
