Brake Flex Lines
I have a bare frame I am putting together. Its a 68 frame and currently has drop spindles. I am getting ready to run the brake lines. I know if I had spindles/discs on the complete 68, I would need conversion brake lines to adapt disc calipers to drum hard lines. Since I don't have any hard lines on the frame yet, do I still need a conversion hose or can I use a shelf part?

How about this. My 69 drum brake truck uses 1/4" hard lines to the flex lines. Is this the same on a disc brake truck or do they use different sized lines?

I'm not really sure on this. I am doing disc/disc for the first time to, so as soon as I can get a answer I will post it up. I beleive they are the same size though.

Use stock 71 72 brake hoses and your hard lines should work

I was in SoCal yesterday and went to CPP. I learned that in addition to the hard line sizes 68 short step mentioned, the factory flex lines on the disc brake trucks had two different fitting sizes. They were able to pull a pair of flex lines that both had the same fitting size and were the same fitting size as the prop valve, so I can run new hard lines and everything will match!

Good to know. I'm about to start running brake line as well. But I will have to call CPP I'm still here in Htown.

brake hoses depend on what type of brake caliper is used as bango fittings r different for different calipers

They set me up with kit BHK-R10. It comes with 3/8 banjo bolts, so they gave me a pair of 7/16 banjos to fit my calipers. These hoses are set up to accept 3/16 hard line. They fit up great
