Kinda spendy for some clear plastic? I think I'll stay with the red ones, since they only cost $13 a piece.

GRRRR.... E-bay makes me mad. Well, it might be partially my fault - I entered the wrong amount and now everything got screwed up so forget it! The truck is leaking massive amounts of oil Think it is my valve cover.

I see that you retracted your bid. What amount did you intend to bid? I bet the seller went into shock after he saw his +$150 drop $50 to $100

By retracting your bid I bet you pissed off the current highest bidder. Bid retractions are frowned upon in the e-bay community. I have never done it but I have read it does irritate people.

Oh well, it still seemed like alot of $$ for TL lenses.

I did have a legitimate reason for doing so because I entered the wrong amount. I also retracted it many days before it ended leaving well enough time for someone else to bid on it.

Tyler, I understand that...but the person you were in a bidding war with is now stuck at a higher price than he needs to be cause you backed out. He has 4 bids placed now after your highest bid cause you retracted your last bid. Go look at the bid history...tell me how this is fair to him? What causes all the problems is this sort of thing happens, someone retracts their bid, then the others cry "unfair" cause they are now stuck way up there (cause they were trying to out bid you)...then they retract their bids possibly causing the seller to be stuck at a lower price. All in all, it just ads confusion and stress to the auction and all its participants.

I am just trying to clarify this, not taking a jab at you or anything.

Kewl. He wouldn't have to pay that much if he wasn't in a bidding war at the time.

I sell stuff every now and again, and when this sort of stuff happens it takes the steam out of the auction itself. Some people just never come back to look once the price goes beyond a certain point...now when someone retracts their bid, the price goes back down, but the bidders who "left" don't know this and you lose their possible bids.

Like I said, just clarifying cause some people don't understand this until it happens to them.

Those things are pretty cool! Wish I still had my 79, might find a set for it. Sure beats the hell out of those Algayzzas.

Looks like a last second bidder came in, unsucessfully,...they went for $121 to the guy who was bidding against Tyler.

Lots of money for plastic!

Dave is right, why run the auction up...just wait till the end and enter as much as you are willing to pay...you usually get it cheaper then.
