My hat is off to the guy.. He was right up front about it being a Cheyenne Clone. Lots of people would have just passed it off as one. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Very nice truck! I notice that he also invites us to drive it before we bid, that's cool. Sounds like it's worth the price too.

Some people think you can make up a title if you know the VIN. I've had people tell me that I should treat my VIN like my SSN.
Not that I believe any of it. I'll post my VIN on the internet (Actually, i have) or in magizines...even if my truck was worth stealing. |

I worked at a bike shop in central Pa .The shop was legit, but the clintell wasn't allways.A ccertain club that came in would get titles for stolen bikes just by having vin numbers.Just needed a notarized statement that was then sent to Alabama.Had there own notary. It was even advertised in the back of some bike mags!

It looks nice.
Everytime I see a black 69-72, Short, Fleet, with the upper and lower side trim, I get misty-eyed. You see, my truck was black when it was new, and has the upper/lower side trim. It isn't a Cheyenne, because they didn't have 'em in '69. It isn't a CST, but it is a C-10 Custom. So, if you had one that could look like that, if restored to black, would you want to do it, or would you pull the side trim, weld up the holes and then paint it some other color, like red, or Milennium Yellow, or ?? That is my predicament. Black bodies have to be straight, or every blemish will show. But, black bodies also don't show the slight mis-alignment of body panels, door gaps, etc. For what a local body shop wants me to pay for their work, which is excellent, I have no doubts that it will be up to par for their excellent work. But, black paint in the south??? It's hot, my friends. My A/C isn't working and would have to be if I go back to black.

The wheel looks somethingg liek a t/a wheel, but it isn't.
The T/A wheel is perfectly flat, and this one has about a 1 or 2 inch dish to it. This one also looks to be a bit bigger. |
