HELP! Cant get cab bolt off

So im trying to get my new floor support beam installed but i cant break the bolt free that attaches the cab to the frame

Ive used a ton of WD40 and all i have is a socket wrench...ANy ideas?

I could cut a notch in the support to go around the bolt and im sure it would be fine but i am trying to do this the right way....

What do you guys think?

Cut it off.
What tools do you have? Hack saw? Reciprocating saw? Angle grinder with cutoff wheel? Dremel with cutting wheel? Torch?
If no cutting tools drill the center of the bolt or head out as far as you can and then hit the head or bolt with a cold chisel or even a large screwdriver if that's all you have.

Whatever you do wear gloves and eye protection.

Re: HELP! Cant get cab bolt off

I had to cut all 4 of mine off. I had to cut holes in my floorboard so I could just use a regular nut.

Then we made this little filler piece so you wouldn't feel the hole with the carpet on. It has a washer welded to the bottom of it so it cant come off the hole

Re: HELP! Cant get cab bolt off

I usually cut the head off the bolt then pound on the bolt til I drive the nut up through the hole I cut in the floor. Then I put the nut in a vise and heat it until its cherry red . Then I unthread what's left of the bolt with visegrips . Then I reassemble the supports and floor the way it was put together originally. I reuse the original nuts because they are 1-1/2" x1-1/2" cage nuts.

Re: HELP! Cant get cab bolt off

Once you cut them, you'll have the size. I don't remember it off the top of my head.

Re: HELP! Cant get cab bolt off

the bolt is 1/2X13 , you will need to check the length after you get it out. if you can get a grinder into the top of bolt cut any excess thread's of then give it one more try befor cut'n the bolt out.
if you have to cut it out try to get the weld nut out as well, a regular nut will work fine but if ya want it to look like the old one you can a square nut at any hardware store and weld it back in.
either way just weld the nut in then you wont need another hole in the floor to access the nut.

Re: HELP! Cant get cab bolt off

Use a very effective liquid fire wrench for the final approach to this problem.
