How to ID what year a blazer gas tank is from? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Truck I'm picking up soon was converted by PO from inside tank to blazer tank by where the spare used to be. He said it's large but not sure of size nor year it came from.

Problem I have is it needs a new guage sender and also a new cap. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can narrow down the possible year and size?
