New Pic/Mirror/Clear

Took this pic today that shows my new mirror (84 Monte Carlo) and the clear lenses. I also lowered the back another 2" to level it out. Now it's 3/7 (added 2" shackles). This weekend I put in a new carpet and dashboard cover. Man it looks GREAT! Even found a light under there that I never knew I had. Bulb was burned out for years I guess. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

Can you post a close up pic of your mirror? Especially from the front and rear? I have mirrors like that in my garage almost ready to put on. Then I decided to install some Monte Carlos SS mirrors. They are bigger and have a better field of view. My current mirrors about the same size as those Camaro's but I have to use blind spot mirrors on them to get any good use out of them.

But it still looks awefull high for a 7" rear drop

My truck only has a 4" rear drop and it looks alot lower than your's.

Hey 87, The rear end of this truck was really jacked up. Must of been good springs or something. I did the 5" flip kit and it was still too high so I added the 2" shackles. That's 7". Right now it sits 27 1/4" in the back and 28" in the front to the wheel wells. The wood bed come last.

Here's what it used to look like when I started. Sits up like a 4x.

Yeah mine sat that high too when it was new. And it would just about bounce you clean out of the cab when ya hit a good bump.

Maybe it's the angle of that pic.

I was happier than a pig in s#&t when my buddy put a bulb in my under dash light! Lol. I had no clue that it was there. BTW, the truck looks great! Those mirrors improve the looks a lot. Kinda neat how such a small item can change the looks of these trucks.

What purpose does that light under the dash serve? Just a light that comes on when you open the door? I get no light when I open a door right now, and if I stick a fuse in and a light bulb, bye bye fuse, lol, I just need to find out why it is shorting but I am too lazy and would be more than happy with that under dash light

Yep. Comes on when you open the door or turn on the interior light. Unreal how much brighter it makes things. Pretty much right underneath the ashtray under the dash.

That truck is looking really sweet!!
On a side note G, there is a truck by my paren'ts house w/ those mirrors. I am still not sure if I like the look of it or not. I will try to get my camera out there and sneak some pics of it.

Ric,
I've a truck around town with the mirrors on it. The guy did not take time to mount them parallel to the ground like they should be mounted. Instead they just bolted them on so the outter edge hangs down. I plan on getting mine mounted correctly.

Thanks guys!! Jon, I do not work at Homeland I was just parking there because I did not want to be a sweaty mess for all of the ladies that night, so I rode with my friends. Yeah Dave we definately need to all get together here sometime! I want to see your freaking truck in person. I thought I would have seen you or Ocbaud by now.
