Engine Rebuild Kits
Where is the best place to purchase an engine rebuild kit? I am rebuilding the '72 350 very soon in school. I want to get a complete kit, new pistons, rings, bearings, valves, everything... I need a good quality kit at a decent price.

Try Northern Auto Parts. Last one I bought for a 350 was like $155. Pistons, rings, bearings, cam kit, gaskets, oil pump, timing chain. Might be worth a look.

I used northern in my motor and I turn it 6200-6800 with cast pistons. If you want to upgrade and get a better cam kit you can for like 35.00 more 1-800-834-0884or northernautoparts.com

Are those good parts though? $155 seems pretty cheap for a complete rebuild kit. I spent over $250 on my 200cc dirtbike. I want to upgrade the cam, oil pump, and gaskets(maybe pistons?). That would put me at about $250. I want something that is going to last and stand up to alot. I am planning around 350-400 HP.

I have the kit from Northern Auto. I can say that not everything in the kit in best quality.
The only things that I didn't use in the kit due to quality was the timing chain ( OEM replacement nonroller), the cam because of the grind it had. But everything else is in my motor. Good Kit for the money if you ask me |
