Looking to replace my exhaust with the correct factory style system. I have a 68 C20 with 292 6-cyclinder. Looks like Walker has a muffler and tailpipe available, but no front pipe. A front pipe is availabe for the smaller 6 cyclinder. Can anyone provide me with GM part numbers or a source to get the correct pipe...Thanks..Joe

I don't have a solid answer for you, but wish I had seen this thread two weeks ago. I searched for about four months trying to find a front pipe for my 1970 C10 with a 230 and everywhere I looked it said it was unavailable. I didn't even think to check the 67/68 availability - why in the world would that pipe be any different for a 67/68 vs 69/70?

I ended up ordering the Heartthrob kit from LMC which it says is for all 67-72 I6s, so you might consider that. I just got it and it looks really nice but I haven't installed it on the truck yet.

But wouldn't the Walker pipe you found work for your 292? It would angle a little differently because of the taller 292 but should mate up and work its way back to the muffler OK, shouldn't it?

I'd be curious to know if the 67/68 front pipe would work for 69-72 sixes as well. I don't know why the Heartthrob kit fits all 67-72 sixes but this pipe doesn't? Strange.

Been there done this. Just dropped my pipe at a reputable exhaust shop so that they may copy the original for me!
