67-68 4X4s never came with hubcaps from the factory. If the 69-72 painted 4x4 caps exist they must be pretty rare..I've never seen any.

Re: WTB: Bunch of Hubcaps

Here are the painted caps I need, pics courtesy of Teeitup. Its what my truck had according to SSTim and the 1972 catalog.

Also pic of the open center 3/4's I need courtesy of w314speed.

I'll take a set of 4 67-68 GMC 2wd caps assuming they'd fit. I can mill the center portion out after hours at work. Just picked up my own Palmgren rotary table today that would make easy work of opening up the centers!

Re: WTB: Bunch of Hubcaps

I have a pair of 1/2 ton 4x4 open center caps..not sure of condition I'll have to dig them out. Also have about 8 3/4 ton bright caps if you have a way of opening up the centers for a 4x4?

Re: WTB: Bunch of Hubcaps

Just saw an nos 3/4 ton cap end on ebay for around $170...
I think pickmup has a press to punch out the centers on full caps.
And i agree with rob on the painted 4x4 caps. I haven't seen any originals in 1/2 or 3/4 ton...

Re: WTB: Bunch of Hubcaps

So you guys are saying even the base model 4x4 3/4's in 72 had the bright caps?

I have axcess to a milling machine with rotary table, that should work as good as a press die right?

Thanks for the ebay link!

Re: WTB: Bunch of Hubcaps

Base models didn't have hubcaps,I believe. Just hubcaps were an upgrade on K/20s. I think maybe 69-72 K/10s had painted hubcaps. No 67/68 K-models got caps. Frank punches the 3/4t caps out but he doesn't want to risk damaging yours. Your best best is contacting him and buying ones he has done.

Jud I called Larry "PICKMUP" today and yes he will do them, and he guarantees if he splits one he will replace it, so give him a call and he will fix you up. Coop
