Project: Look What i got on CL for $750.00 1969 c10/custom lwb

a couple of weeks ago i was looking on CL for a project that i could get into that was under $1000.00 bucks. this is what i found and this is what i have planned for the truck. As you will see over the next two months i will take this sleepy old farm truck and breath some new life into it ,and turn it into a cool laid out solid LWB . with all recycled parts and some new stuff as well, i'll build this truck with all the creature comforts that it didn't come with from the factory. the first step is to address the Rusty Rockers and D-side floor. after close inspection all of the rust on this truck was confined only to those spots. what surprised me was the fact that this truck was equipped with a rubber mat instead of carpet , based on the rust I've seen so far on the floors you would have thought that there was 2 feet of water filled carpet in there. well i'm on my way to getting this truck tricked out for some lucky guy to enjoy. here are some pictures to kick this off. enjoy the build and feel free to chime in. [FONT="Comic Sans MS"]i got parts this week. i love it when the Big Brown Truck drops off at the house. so i ordered a whole interior for the truck. there's nothing better then getting into a truck and it has that new truck smell and feel... i'll reupholster the OG seat this weekend with pictures to follow. i should have all the rockers buttoned up today as well . I love it when a plan come together! where did i hear that before ???[/FONT

the picture of the engine is what i will use to copy for this truck build. i don't know who's engine that is but i like their style.

hey you guys , look what i found out in Dixon . second owner no Rust at all!!!!! another CL find . $1000 look at the sheet metal on this truck the grill and front are in killer condition. I'll trailer it home in the morning. This has been on CL for a couple of weeks. i have some plans for this one. new wheels tires , lower it, lose the 3 on the tree and swap for a th350 put a tilt in it and PWR brakes and steering . then all new interior. after that it should be ready for it's long journey to the East Coast. Got to love those Fremont Plant California Trucks!!!!!
