all 67-72 radiator/fan setups from stock to you spent that much on a radiator?

Post em up boys, especially you engine swap guys, I have a 69 LWB with a Pontiac 350 transplant and whoever had the truck before me put in a monster sized 4 core radiator thats too wide to fit into the core support like it should, I'd love to wire up a set of fans with a temp switch in the head but anyway thets see what everyone else is doin to keep the engine cool

If it's a factory 4 core for the truck,you may need to change the mounts to make it fit properly.You should be able to keep it cool with a stock fan setup unless you're making killer power with that "Injun"

the radiator should be just a shade under 35 inches wide, mine is 41 inches wide so theres no way its gonna sit in the whole, seeing other peoples setups will show me what is out there working so i can drop something in and know its gonna do what i want it to do and not leave me on the side of the road cussin and wondering where im gonna find a new block

I've been wondering about this lately. I just put an aftermarket aircon on the truck, but I didn't install electric fans. Haven't had any days over 75 since I put it on, and it's cooling perfectly now... but am wondering how it will do when summer comes. I have a 4 core radiator and the shroud is good, and the factory aircon trucks didn't use electric fans, so I guess I'll just leave it and see how it does in July.

Fan system is from "Old air" and Rad is stock unit from a 85 k10. Bolts into the stock spot with no mod needed. The rad was about $110 from Napa fans around $300 from Brothers. Where I live it get vary hot out and with this I can hot rod around with no problems. I got stuck out on I10 after running down to Tucson one hot summer day and it never got over 195.

Here's a couple pics of mine. Shroud was hand made. Fans are from ebay. (hint) Don't mount yer thermal switch onto the shroud. Burnt up the first one.

Sorry no pic but I have a factory 4 core radiator with a mid 90s firebird electric fan ($30 at junkyard) and with very little alteration it fit between my shroud and radiator where it looks like it was made that way, I also Am running a factory serpentine from a 4.3L and doesn't get over 170 hardly on a hot day

No pictures of the current setups:

68 has a stock style radiator (its taller than original....maybe the wrong year...not sure) with used LS1 camaro e-fans (with 5.3L) Plenty of room.

69 has a TBI 350 from a 91 chevy with the serpentine belt setup. I used the donor trucks radiator too (its aluminum). I am using a new grand cherokee efan in the stock radiator shroud. I removed the studs from the water pump and put in some bolts, but it they were just barely hitting the fan motor as I was driving due to engine movement and the frame flexing. So I slotted the radiator brackets (the ones on the top of the core support) to pull the radiator forward ~1/4" and now I don't have any problems. Still a tight fit to change the belt, but oh well.

I live in Vegas. In the summertime I drive down streets that you can literally fry an egg on. It gets really, REALLY! hot here. If you don't have a bulletproof cooling system, you're screwed. I've got a four row radiator, a good shroud, and a big seven blade clutch fan moving the air. It won't overheat even under the worst conditions.
