Key on power during crank
Im just finishing up wiring on my 69 lq4 swap and have noticed that i loose key on power during crank, I tried the ignition switch from my other 69 and same thing. Just wondering what everyone is doing to solve this

Where are you getting your "trigger" for your key on relay? On mine I replace the stock red resistor wire that went to the coil with a normal 14ga wire and it keeps power during crank.

So far im still trying to figure out where to get key on from. Ive checked both of my ignition switches with a multimeter, and all but the starter feed goes dead during crank

The ignition switch in mine is from a '72, maybe there is a difference.

I would use the wire that originally powered your distributer/coil, that will have power while cranking.
