Where's The Heat?
My 67 burb had good heat but only high fan if you pushed the air/fan lever hard to the right. Like a dummy, I pushed the lever too hard and I heard something go "CLICK" under the dash. I now have high fan OK, but now only cold air blows out of the heater and defrost vents. I realize the heat lever is separate from the air/fan lever, but something let go and I'm wondering where to start looking. After-market under-dash A/C has been added, so it is going to be difficult to get at the heater. Any hints? Thanks.

I'd start with the easy stuff.
Remove the climate control selector switch mechanism from the dash, and inspect all the levers and make sure they are still intact. Then from there, inspect the cables to makes sure they are all still connected.

I have just made a repair on the heater lever in my -69.
The mounting that holds the levers to the chrome frame was broken so i could not move the levers enough. But in your case some wires maybe has let go from the mountings, the levers are really close so the fan lever maybe has caused some some problem with the heater wire.

Thanks, guys. I'll start digging around under the dash. Either of you know if the heat control is a water valve or an air flap?

Should just be a cable operated flap right from the control panel on the dash.
You most likely snapped one of the arms, does the heat lever move back and fourth easy now? When you get under there, I recommend pulling the cables out from under the dash and either replacing them or let some light grade lubricating oil soak down into the sheath. Over the years they get dry and rusty, which makes operating the flaps hard on the selector arms.

Well somebody had the air/fan cable switched with the heat cable on the control panel. Thats's why the heat disappeared when I was forcing the air/fan lever. To make a long story short - the heat cable was disconnected from the air door. Hooked it up and should have heat now. Just re-hang the A/C under the dash and try the heater.

Bob, there probably isn't a probem that you will run into with Burb that someone else on here hasn't experienced and they are more than willing to help you with suggestions on how to fix it.
