floor seatbelt bolt size help

I'm not near my truck and I forgot to measure last time before I left. Can anyone tell me what size the bolt head would be so I could get these removed from the floor? Tools and truck are in two different places for the winter. '69 GMC BTW

Thanks in advance!

Re: floor seatbelt bolt size help

Yes, can confirm the bolt head is 13/16" on my '72 C/10

Bring the penetrating oil, 1/2" breaker bar, ratchet, impact, standard & deep well sockets, extensions, box wrench, torches, etc.

Seriously, those bolts can be tough to remove. I could not get a good bite on the one next to my driver side door. Seems like the gas tank kinda blocks the way. I'm going to try and dye that belt with the bracket still bolted in.

Re: floor seatbelt bolt size help

MikeyMan,

I use a 13/16" short 6 point socket with a 3/8" drive, universal joint, short extension, 3/8" to 1/2" adapter and either a 1/2" ratchet or 1/2" breaker bar.

As mentioned soak the bolt on top and on the bottom with a good penetrant.

Jim
