Out of round rotor?
My friend just bought an 86 chevy c10 stepside. The LF wheel was making constant noise. Pulled the wheel and inspected the rotor. I've never seen this but the rotor is not spinning true, it hops up and down causing the noise. I recommended a new rotor for starters but is it possible the spindle is bent? Wheel bearing doesn't have excessive play.

Re: Out of round rotor?
If the spindle was bent,... it would still spin true,... just out on the camber or caster.
Sounds like a cheap parts house rotor that is warped from brake heat or over torquing the lugs.

Re: Out of round rotor?
Makes sense. We will see what new rotors do.
