76 1/2 Ton 4" Lift Spring Centering Pin Not Centered

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem with Rough Country 4" rear lift springs and what they did to fix the problem.

Ever since I installed the springs the rear of the truck dog legs to the left. After a while I took the springs off to check them out and the left side centering pin was broken. I replaced that but the axel still sits about an inch forward on the right spring. I can see just by looking in my mirror while going down the road that the rear is to the left. When looking at the passenger side fender you can tell that the wheel sits more forward then the left side.

Is it possible that the springs were drilled wrong? I cant see any other reason why this would happen. Everything else seems to be fine.

Is the spring pack in backwards?

I think you need to check the measurements of the center pin to the eyes.SOund like they are suppose to go on a certain way and you have on reversed.

I dont think the springs are in backwards because the main spring only goes in one way. The eye towards the front will not fit in the rear shackle.

The left spring measures 26" from the center of the front eye to the centering spring. The right spring measures only 25".

Like I said the main(top) spring only fits in one way with the larger part towards the front of the truck. I'll double check but I'm pretty sure.

Here are some springs that look similar to mine. Notice how the front eye is bigger and only fits in the front spring mount.

Call Rough Country and see what they say. Least that's the direction I'd head in.
I don't have experience with the lift or their product, but I'm sure over the years they've heard it all.

Is the spring eye bigger or are the front cushions thinner to make up the difference to fit the same size eye? I know the sleeve/bolt size is different front to back,so you can't reverse them. Without having any to look at I was wondering if it's possible if Rough Country could have the bushings and sleeves reversed on one side. You gave the front pin to eye measurement,what's the rear? 1" different,like 25 and 26,also?

I believe the rear has the same difference which would make me believe that the hole is drilled in the wrong place. I'll double check when I get home from work.

Missed your first question. I'm pretty sure the bushings are the same size but like the newer spring in the picture above, the second leaf wraps around the eye as well as the first making it only possible to fit in the front spring mount and not the rear shackle.

only thing i can think of is if ya put one on backwards but if thats not the case call em up
