62 burb fuel lines

been awhile since i installed the tank, not getting gas out of it. my sending unit has 2 pipes coming out of it. One should be the pickup tube, the other the vent. I suck on the fuel line at the filter, but no gas. maybe i'm not sucking it up high enough? trucks starts and runs on starting fluid but no gas pumping through the line. All fittings clamps tight, no kinks. gasket in filter bowl. WTH? Build and maintenance manual only shows one tube. So close yet so far! And pleeeeeze don't ask me if there's gas in the tank lolol.

I would pop the line off of the tank and also disconnect it at the pump and blow compressed air through it, just to be sure there is no blockage.

all brand new. gas cap is open a bit too.

Eliminate the internal pickup as the problem. Disconnect the fuel line at the tank. Block off the vent tube and pressurize the tank with about 5-10 lbs. compressed air. No gas coming out means blockage in the pickup inside the tank.

I am actually interested to know why your tank has two lines at the sending unit. My '60 Burb only has one for the pick-up and the vent is attached to the filler neck. The only thing I can think of is that the second line coming from your sending unit is not right. Either the lines are connected wrong or somehow that vent is not allowing you to gain suction. Sorry I can't be more help man.
