WIW: 76 2wd Blazer on air
I wasn't planning on selling my Blazer, but a guy I know is looking for a toy and is fishing for a dollar value. In my opinion, anything is for sale, but that doesn't mean I'll give you a deal.
So here's a description: 76 Blazer, air ride with 8 way valves, 4 link rear suspension, 3" drop spindles, 20" Centerline Smoothies with matching spare, 350 with RV cam, 700R4, edelbrock intake manifold, new Headman Elite thermo coated hedders, one new electric air compressor this summer, (two total) air horn.. It has some rust in the 1/4's and rockers, it could use a new hood, tires are pretty worn, seats are a little torn, but in overall good condition. It is driven daily in the summer months. Comes with all parts needed to convert into 1973 full convertible top, extra grills (Chev and GMC) extra rear slider windows if you don't like the one piece ones that are in it.

In this economy yes 10K would be unrealistic.

Re: 76 2wd Blazer on air
Thanks for the input, you're probably right, although I don't live in your economy. I live in Alberta which is oil country. The average single family dwelling costs around $360,000 and the average income is $800/week. I'm not trying to disagree with you, I'm just saying that wage AND cost of living are fairly high here, and there's a lot of young oilfield workers with too much money.

Re: 76 2wd Blazer on air
Up here, I don't think that is unrealistic. Especially when someone is trying to buy something that isn't for sale. Even though your bodystyle isn't as desirable as others, it is still desirable. There are not alot around here that don't have flintstone floors.
Trying compare truck prices between Canada and the U.S is like comparing apples to oranges If I was you, I would figure out what it would cost to build it again. Cause you know your gonna. I only say this because you say you were'nt planning on selling it.

Re: 76 2wd Blazer on air
So all I had to do was ask...?
Good luck with the sale! For the states I would say that $10k is a starting point but it wouldn't move if you didn't lower your price. Then again, there's always someone that will surprise you.

Re: 76 2wd Blazer on air
Yeah, I'd probably drop the price at least 2k maybe more if I actually NEEDED to get rid of it.

Re: 76 2wd Blazer on air
The above quote is the key point here, I have been watching the prices on these second gen C/5's and with stockers bringing $5-7500. fairly regular. I dont think you are out of line, try finding a like condition C/5 to build. If your blazer was owned by fine96 he would be singing a different tune on real value. Mel
