bellflower size

I am wondering what the guys running bellflowers are running for length? I initially thought the 18's but after measuring it looks like 24" is a better fit. Thank you for any input you may have.

Re: bellflower size

I read somewhere that they were started as a trend in Bellflower, CA back in the day. The name stuck.

Re: bellflower size

in the "wikipedia" for kustom car's in the exhaust section it says:

"Lakes pipes" were another Kustom main stay, long or short chrome pipes that run back from behind the front wheels wells. The have either one of three removable end plugs for running flat through with open exhaust. Side pipes are similar but do not include removable plugs, "Bellflower" tips are similar but run from the rear wheel well back under the bumper, a style that emerged in the Bellflower, California area in the early '60s."

Ive also always heard them referred to as "bellflowers"..
