window fuzzys and weatherstrip on a 65

Has anyone used LMC for weatherstrip and door window fuzzys? If so how was the fit ? Any other brands better? Thanks.

I would suspect they are all the same manufacturer no matter who you get them from, I ordered mine from Classic Parts and they fit just fine.

Re: window fuzzys and weatherstrip on a 65

Bought all my rubber from different manufactures: LMC, Car and Truck Shop, Brothers...If they are made in china or taiwan the quality s..ks. All my rubber is cracking, window felts good but faded, rubber seal around vent window tore. I believe most of these vendors buy from the same place. My truck has been sitting under a 20x20 car port for at least 2 years with new rubber and these are my findings......

Re: window fuzzys and weatherstrip on a 65

Had the same question on my 66 - someone here recommended calling Wes over at Classic Heartbeat. I have heard a number of guys having issues with the fit on the repop stuff preventing your windows rolling up completely. Haven't bought them yet but my guess is that it is all hit or miss based on where they get the parts from.

Re: window fuzzys and weatherstrip on a 65

i've bought from both. i like classic parts better. the fuzzies fit good fer both companies but the windou chanel was not great from lmc. they gave me a long piece and i had to cut to size. classic parts sent me the correct length. the material is also different. lmc;s is thick with a metal interior and classic is thinner but fit in the chanel perfect.
lmc. warped n sticks out if the window is down on my '65

i ordered a new set from classic parts to replace these ones

classic parts you can't even see it n works great on my'66

Re: window fuzzys and weatherstrip on a 65

My dad's shop supplied the ones I used on the '65 I restored. I have a few detail pics of the felt/channel in the build thread, there's a link in my signature. He uses USA made felts, hand made on jigs that were built from original felt scrapes. Theyre available with or without a stainless bead on the edge. The glass run channel is made by Precision and fit great.

Its not what company you buy them from. The question should be who makes them. All companies do not sell the same brands. Many companies sell the same brands but not all of them. Their are many good brands. You should ask the company selling them who makes them. some are made in usa and some are made across the pond. Most of the Precision brand is made over seas and they are a good product.

Precision makes very good quality glass run channels. They fit very well and they have the proper nap so the glass slides easily.

Here's a couple shots of the window wipes that my dad makes.
