I have not personally, but I know others who have come across buddy buckets in the earlier trucks.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
They look very similar to the ones in my 68 GMC, the potoo kthe seats off the frame and changeed them to some van seats as they were more comfortale to him. Fortunatly for me the other seats along with the new take off tailgate was put up in his shop.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
You should post this pic over on the 60-66 board. If they are correct for the year buddies, they are really rare. Someone there will be able to tell.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
The blue ones could be from a Dodge,Jeep,or International. Not sure about Ford, but this style seat was offered in the other makes.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
Internationals had a frame that was very different from the Chevy and Dodge frames.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
To me they look more like Dodge. Especially with the panel below the seat, that looks similar to the base on the seats in my mini vans.

No,but I would say they would be worth fetchin' as long as they're not a whole lotta money. I'd venture to say the frames are probably very close to GM. It's probable the same company made them all, just used different cushions.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
Funny you should mention an Edsel because there was one in this salvage yard that was so complete I had to take a picture of it! I looked under the seat real quick and I don't think it had the frame like a GM or I would have snatched it up, I think each seat had it's own frame

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
Edsel, that's funny. I just saw that buddy bucket seat must have something different for mounts. It sure sits low. I thought it was really low seat backs, then realized it's close to the floor.

Re: Buddy buckets or not?
I might just go back to the salvage yard next week and get those seats, and maybe a few parts off that Edsel
