'67 K-20 CST Camper project
I bought my 67 in Colorado (front range area) from a man that lived on my route to work...I asked him about selling it for a year before he finally gave in...they were original owners(their family) ...it was the family's camper used over a few decades on hunting trips etc...the old "Mitchell" camper had been sold already...I tried to find a decent one from that time to use, but only found ones that were in too rough a shape...
I started building my own...2X2 framew/ a plywood shell...then covered w/ 3/4" foam...fiberglass is next... after camper is complete I will repaint the truck original color.... all I have dcone to this is the basic tune ups, carb rebuild, brakes...and got rid of the split rim wheels(no one would touch them!) new rubber and some air lift & air shocks front and back...here are a few pics... I moved east to attend to some family business...am moving back out west in the spring...trying to get this project done for the move... truck before I did the lift... truck now with prep begun on paint... here is the camper progress... trying to get the "old school" lines I made the front over cab like a barrell... foam is substrate for fiberglass and also insulation...am using 9.7 oz cloth for overall cover, w/ 40z tape doubled on corners...epoxy two coats then final coat w/ glass beads to make it smooth then paint it white...windows are all being made in my shop from pine and plexiglass...which get installed after glassing...... I love the old "signature" under the hood from the factory say paint was "OK"...also the old dealer sticker from Denver...I going to try and save it when painting...

Nice truck, great job on the camper with that work I'm not sure how rebuilding an original would be a problem for you. Great work.

Clean truck, nice work on the camper. Can't wait to see the end result.

Awesome combo,I had a chance to buy a neighbor's truck and camper like that years ago but was short of the funds. I'll be looking for a truck camper once I get my hands on a truck I'm in the process of closing a deal on.
