Ideas for running wires under carpet to back of cab?

I won't have a console in the truck but need to run a few wires to the back of the cab from under the dash. Is there some type of conduit that is flat so it isn't noticeable when the carpet lays over the top? What are some other ideas?

Jeff

i usually run mine under the door sill molding... or run wires on bothsides so you dont have so many wires run in one spot.

But, there is a flat conduit if you can find it.

I've used steel brake line, fuel line, you can get it in a bunch of different sizes, but I'm not sure that it would be very discrete under your carpet, worth a shot, though.

Why not run them out with the main harness and bring them back up thru where the original gas line goes out of the back of the cab. This was you don't have a bunch of wires messing up the carpet.

If you look in the big box home stores in the electrical section they have flat metal conduit, about 1/2 inch high x 1 or so inch wide. I think it with the Wiremold. I am going to use that, my floor insulation and carpet pad will be about the same thinkness so carpet will lay flat.

You could use trailer wire , flat 4 wire or flat 5 wire.

My 64 chevelle has a flat wire harness from the front to the back under the driver and back seat too. It has wires for the brake, tail, turn, backup lights and gas tank sender. Probably for the trunk light option too.

What i try to do if i need to run wires to the rear is lay the wires out flat and tape them down.. you can't get them any thinner than that.. you can see from the photo how i did it in the '67 chevelle
