Thanks for the info. Because of the extreme temp changes up here (up to 50 degrees in 24 hours, -10 to 110 over the year) I don't like glueing directly to exterior metal. Were the bracket a slide clip like used on a door panel?? I'll do some research on Youtube too. Patrick

Orrie, I don't think you would have to worry if you use the panel adhesive that they glue quarter panels on with. Apparently temperature swings don't affect it.

3m super weatherstrip cement is as close as you can get without buying a quart and spraying it on as upholstery do. It is actually pretty tough as long as it isn't in the sun before it drys. Don't substitute other contact cements they aren't near as strong
