Re: exstended cab on ksl with cummins

The only thing Dodge about a Cummins engine is well nothing it is an engine that was used by Dodge. Cummins was also used in Chevrolet and Ford medium duty trucks. The 4 cyl was used in all step vans very common to use these in the swaps. The Dodge and Chevrolet share teh same NV4500 manual transmission and transfercases. The reason for these engines being used is because they are plentiful (used in many applications and industries), parts are readily available thru any Cummins certified shop, and they are no electronics needed for them to run very easy to wire. Dodge can not even get you parts for that engine with out going thru an authorized Cummins Dealer which some Dodge dealers have became for obvious reasons.

Someone put alot of time into it. Would be nice to see it fixed up a bit more, including the dash swapped back to GM.

Why put a Cummins in a square body Chevy? It's the right motor in the right truck.
