Pilot Bearing removal
What ticks do you have for removing a stubborn pilot bearing?

Fill the cavity with grease. Slide a dowel in that fits the ID and whack it with a hammer.

is it an actual bearing, or just a bushing? parts stores rent slide hammers with a busing removal attachment. you slide the arms in the bushing, tighten the nut to expand them, then slide hammer it right out. the grease method works too, but its more messy and takes longer.

Your right, it is a bushing. Not sure why it is listed as a "bearing".

i use a tap thats the same size as the hole and comes out really easy and fast. and its a lot cleaner then Grease and easier. ive been useing it for about 10yrs and never had a problem with it.
