Would this 64 GMC be worth it

Hey guys, I found this 64gmc and the guy is saying it is mostly original, I am still waiting for more detailed pic before I go in person to check it out though. It has the original v8 with a 4 speed supposedly. He might be interested i a swap for my 05 Honda crf450r dirt bike. Would this be woth the investment. I am mainly wanting to get the truck just to drive here and there not really wanting to go all out on the fixing it up just a reliable driver.

Heres the ad, not mine:

Also what do I need to be looking out for besides bondo, rust, etc. I am not too familiar with these year model trucks, I have a 69 so a bit different.
Thanks in advance Tim

What do you think your bike is worth? I can't say for sure but from the few pics shown my immediate reaction is if it runs well, GO GET IT ...NOW!

Bike I would say is 2000 to 2500 ish but the truck would be more fitting for my lifestyle now I think. If it is what he says it is I would love to have it to cruise in.

Say Happy New Year and do it!!! The truck actually looks pretty good. I'd do it if it were me. (my 2 cents)

it doesn't have an orig v8 in it as US production GMC's of that vintage didn't come with v8, but with a v6 eng and that one does have the v6 flags on it. there was also an inline 6 avail

Yeah he had a typo when he email me and said v8 but it is v6. Is there anything in particular I need to look out for on these trucks, as mentioned before I am new to these year models. I like the looks of it but I cant say the shape for sure due to not seeing it in person.

Re: Would this 64 GMC be worth it

If you sell the bike for 2000-2500 and bought the truck outright, you'd make 500-1000 $ even if you bought the truck for full price (1500). While it is probably convenient to trade for it, you'd save money in the long run if you can buy the truck outright and then sell the bike on your own time. Just a thought.

I totally agree with Jocko. Go look soon, and look for rust. lower front fenders nearly ALWAYS have some rust. don't be too scared if you see it there. Next, look at rockers, doors, floors, cab corners, and roof. It really looks solid already, but little pictures can be deceptive.
