90s PU bumper on a 67-72 PU
Has anyone tried a front bumper from a 90's era pickup on a 67-72 pickup? It looks like you might trim off the front fender and bottom of the grille and slide the later model bumper in place. I was wondering if the curve of the 90's truck bumper would work with vee of the 67-72 grille.
Thanks, love the forum

Re: 90s PU bumper on a 67-72 PU
The curve on the '88-98 front bumper is more extreme than you think, and it will not look good on the '67-72's. These trucks have a flatter front than you may think, in comparison to the later bumpers.
Stacy David, of Gears, modified a '69-72 front bumper by cutting the edge that wraps around off of a bumper, then added about 4-inches to that to push the original end back to the edge of the wheel opening. It made for a much nicer bumper than what the 88-98 front bumper would look like on the earlier trucks. Since I have both models, I think I speak the truth, but it's my opinion that you would not like it as much as you think.
