Re: where is this emblem used?

I know they were used in 1969 & 1970 on the P/U, not sure about the blazers or burbans.

Re: where is this emblem used?

Not 71/72 because they went where the engine badges go on those.

So in the picture I posted, the emblem has just been added after the fact below the Engine badge?

Used in 68,69 and 70 under the front marker light.
In your last pic it was added.

Yes,like Eric said,it was added. Figure in '67 there was no side marker to mount the badge under. In 67/68 there were no optional engine designates, then in 69/70 engine badges came out and were located under the fender badge. In 71/72 the Custom Deluxe and Cheyenne Supers came out, which required the "Deluxe" and "Super" emblems to go where the engine badge was on 69/70s. The engine badge went under the marker light, which bumped the "All Wheel Drive" badge

Re: where is this emblem used?

I wish they kept using them through 72, I think they add a nice touch. Oh well, one more reason the 1970 4x4's are the best in my eyes.

Did GMC's get these as well?

Re: where is this emblem used?

GMCs didn't get these and they are the best. How do you figure that? Just kidding. GMCs didn't bet either these or engine badges. They are the mysterious ones...heh heh

Re: where is this emblem used?

So are the holes the same spacing as the engine badges?

Re: where is this emblem used?

That's a good question. I don't know for sure...never checked. The same question could be asked about the engine badge holes on 69/70s and Deluxe/Super holes on 71/72s. It seems to me I recall the holes under the fender emblem are different for engine badges and Deluxe/Super emblems...never checked those either.

Re: where is this emblem used?

The 4 wheel drive emblem and the CID emblem were the same spacing. The deluxe and super emblems were by themselves for spacing.
