New to the site!! My 1st 62 SB

Hey all just thought I would jump on and share my new to me truck, I have had it for about 3 months and have been hard at work trying to get it back on the road!!! My plan is to strip it completely down, clean it up and add some nice upgrades.
I found the truck on CL and was able to get it for a great price it did not run when I got it home but with a little work I had it running in no time, trans was shot but my plan was to replace it with a automatic just becouse this will end up being a daily driver for me.
I have a long way to go on the truck (as you can see by the pics) and I dont have a dead line yet, but so far have found a lot of great information on here that has helped me greatly.
I look forward to sharing the progress on the truck as I go

welcome to the board, looks like you got yourself a good solid start. Glad you have found a lot of answers to what you needed this board has more info than any library of books you will ever find about chevy trucks even though the 60-66 side doesnt seem to see as much traffic as the 67-72 i sometimes still post there. Good looking truck, keep us updated on the rebuild.

Welcome to the forum

Looks like you've been busy. Is it an original V8 truck?

Way busy, I dont think the wife likes me right now, all my time is going to the truck and not her. Unfortunatly the engine is not as far as I can tell, From what I was told the truck came with a 6 and then changed to a V-8, the truck was a 3 owner truck all in the same family Grandpa, then his father and then the son who I bought it from. The engine is out of a 1965, 283 out of a car.
