Rear Coil Spring height?

I need to pick your brains! I cut my front coils to get my height down to 29" from floor to center of my fender. I like the height for now in the front. I have not touched the rear but want my rear to be 29"-30". I do not want the rear of the truck to sit lower than the front. I need to buy rear coils. Here is the million dollar question. What size rear drop coils do I need to buy to get my truck at 29"-30" from floor to middle of fender? Ohyeah I have 20" wheels with 275/40 tires.
Thanks!

Re: Rear Coil Spring height?

I am assuming they are stock springs...just wore out. If I measure from the floor to the middle or center of the rear quarter at the highest point is 32'' tall.

Re: Rear Coil Spring height?

I was told that a new stock coil will lift the truck dramatically...I would like to stay around 30''..I have two sets of lowering blocks if needed, so if I can get new coils in and put the truck around the 30'' mark would be great.

How much lower do you want it from where it is now? I would look into blocks and keeping your current springs if you're needing 3" of drop or less. They don't sell 3" blocks, but you could get a set of 1" and a set of 2". There's even a good thread on the board on how to make your own 2" blocks on the cheap.

Re: Rear Coil Spring height?

Yeah I was thinking about just doing that. The only problem is I want the rear end height to match. Dont like one side being 31'' and the other 32''. I guess I could make the difference up in lowering blocks. I would like it to be around 30", which is 1 " higher than the front.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Rear Coil Spring height?

I got a set of U bolts for a 1" or 1.5" drop block, but no block lmk if interested.

Ece makes drop springs as "big" as 3" dropped springs

Re: Rear Coil Spring height?

Keep us posted on how you like the REAR sway bars.

The front bar is a HUGE upgrade, a must do for these trucks
