Help Removing Carpet

How do get the rubber/insulation out that is under the carpet? Including removing the parts on the 4-wheel drive engage.

Re: Help Removing Carpet

Just did my carpet set. My insulation came up with my carpet. I would start peeling off the insulation by hand. The 4-wheel drive trim should have screw holes around the perimeter of the trim.

Yeah thats what I thought too, but there is no screws or bolts on the 4-wheel drive trim so I don't to just go and rip it off and break something. Thanks for the help though.

Re: Help Removing Carpet

in your photo: that black stuff that is the factory rubber (stock ) flooring. the red carpet remaining is a PO installed carpet. as for the 4X4 shift there should be screws holding it in place. the door sill strips have 4 screws each side. you would be a head of the game at this point to go ahead and remove the seat.

Re: Help Removing Carpet

There are four seat bolts and two bolts holding down the seat belts on the floor. These go through the carpet so before you pull it out you need to remove them. The door sills also have screws through them and the carpet so you need to remove them also.

Yeah mine was previously torn up so I didn't have to do all that. But I did get all the rubber matting out and the insulation. And so far I need 2 floor pans.
