Bagged S10 swap question???

I'm building a 54 on an S10 frame and wanted to see of the people that have already done this swap and bagged the truck did you need to notch the frame? When it is aired down I want it lay the running board just off the ground. If you have pictures of your bagged trucks stance with or without a notch lets see it.

Definitely need some kind of notch unless you mount the body really close to the frame. I got away with a 2" notch on my truck, the cab it around 4" off the frame and it lays running board.

Re: Bagged S10 swap question???

Thanks, I plan on mounting the body right at 4 inches off the frame. I will be running 20's front and rear so I have an 8 inch notch from another project, but I didn't want to cut the frame and put it in if the running boards would get close to the ground. I will look over your build thanks again.

Check through the projects and build section as there are several S-10 swaps in there that are well detailed.

Re: Bagged S10 swap question???

I have read through just about every project on this board, I just wanted to see if there was anyone that has bagged an S-10 frame without notching it and what the stance looked like. If someone have a frame they didn't notch and has pictures of what the truck look like aired out I would like to see them.

Here is my truck without a notch sitting on 20's with a good amount of sidewall.

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for, I wanted to see how level it sat and what the rear looked like not notched.

Re: Bagged S10 swap question???

In the picture i posted the rear axle has about 3" before it hits the frame but my tires are very close to the fender braces. Im going to modify my fender braces front and back to allow a little more drop when aired out. I have some better pics on my build thread but havent figured out how to link it to my post yet.

Thanks I have already looked through your build thread, and I appreciate your information. There are so many threads on here to look through its tough sometimes to look through all of them. My rear fender has the spare tire bump and on 20" I'm worried that it will rub, so I guess I'm on the hunt for a new rear fender.
