NPT to Inverted Flare?

I am having trouble finding something to mate 3/8" NPT male to a 3/8 Male Inverted flare. I am wondering if the NPT side would just work with a plain ole inverted flare union?

I am just trying to get from http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FBM2618/ to the male end of a 3/8 steel inverted fuel line.

Suggestions?

I'm seeing the same not quite perfect options that Summit has. NPT - NPT and AN - NPT but nothing for inverted flare - NPT

Man, I must be dense, but this is as close as Speedway seems to get as far as I can tell: 3/8 IFF to 1/8 NPT coupler.

Re: NPT to Inverted Flare?

Normal brass fittings at your local part store should do it. You may need to use 2 , 3/8 npt female to 3/8 npt female , than a 3/8 npt male to 3/8 inverted female , but it will work. Just find the oldest store in town , go to the guy who answers all the questions , he should rattle the numbers off like nothing.

That is what I was afraid of, if that is the case, I'll cut and flare my own and use a different end fitting on the fuel line so I don't have this issue. I'd like to avoid having 3-6 adaptors/couplers/fittings right there at my fuel pump, for leaking reasons (and beauty's sake).

Thanks.

Re: NPT to Inverted Flare?

Stupid Holley Fuel pump has 1/4" (4 AN) female fittings, need it to go up to a 3/8" female inverted for my fuel line to plug into (Male end on fuel line).

Re: NPT to Inverted Flare?

I could be wrong , but holley pump should be 1/4 npt , or 3/8 npt , and I could rattle these part numbers off for the adapters you need (I am that old useless parts guy that trys to answer everything).

You are correct I need to go from 1/4" female (pump) to 3/8" male inverted flare (steel fuel line).

Thanks, Bob. I was just on Jegs looking at the part I needed. I got so focused on using the first adaptor I listed above that I totally forgot that I could just go straight from the pump to the line with a pretty common adaptor and skip that other piece (which I was picking up to mate with my Edlebrock braided fuel line).
