Re: crewcab bakersfield c/l

I went and looked at it last night, and there is bondo everywhere! they told me it is a 454 all I can say is it is a big block, they said with a battery it will start and run but did not heir it myself. It has the usual rust spots plus.I think it was a standerd cab that someone tryed to make into an extra cab. Also it has an automatic trans in it , a t400 I think.

Re: crewcab bakersfield c/l

Too much mud for me. The cracked Bondo everywhere and the rust stains coming from the patch where the door handle used to be is a sign of some very bad quality work underneath that primer.

I thought it was a real-deal crewcab until I saw the last pictures. Yikes.

Re: crewcab bakersfield c/l

Wow the rear door handles are just bondo'd over.

Still, between the BBC and the 4 light grille and all that steel to scrap, the asking price is still fair.

Re: crewcab bakersfield c/l

Now those LOOK like real doors, not like what I have seen on the crews, like my dad's. the crew rear doors are hand made, boxy type of construction not the smooth curves like the front doors. ( I am talking on the inside, the outside is a factory door skin on bottom)

The intake looks like the 396/427 intake, which would lead me to believe that it probably has the small oval heads and would probably not be a 454. MOst people like the rectangle larger port heads for the 454, but it could be. Just my $.02
