Power Steering hoses ? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 71 frame that I bought with power steering , I am about ready to start and drive it. I bought new stock power steering hoses but I am having a hard time determining how they are supposed to be installed. The pressure line has some crazy bends in it.A picture or a description would be helpful. Thanks

Is it 2wd or 4wd I have both and could take some pic's to help you out just let me know.

p/s pump in the above pics is not stock mounted to engine block,is higher than factory, even the prop valve location is not factory,

Thanks FrenchBlue but I am having a hard time seeing the power steering pump in the pictures,mine is located very low on the block,it is actually mounted to a bracket that is mounted to the motor mount. Thanks for the effort ,I appreciate it.

My powerr steering pump is not even on the motor how can it be mounted higher than stock??? Y es I moved the prop valve.

I changed over my 71gmc with a 307 V8 from manual steering to power steering a couple months back. Here are some picks of mine. Hope it helps you out!

Thanks ,I think thats what I was looking for. It seems like a simple thing to do ,but I bought stock hoses and they had some strange bends , Thought I'd ask before screwing it up. Thanks for the help
