Re: E-brake light comes on...

Hi, I did the e brake mod yesterday connecting a brake light switch to the e brake and to the warning light circuit. It IS very cool (and cheap) and it is something I would encourage any one to do. But my brake light has never illuminated during starting or at any other time, although my generator light would. In fact I worried my brake light had a bad bulb or a short. Unlike the post above, my brake light only comes on now when the e brake is depressed and only while the engine is running (In the mod it says it works whe the key is in the on position but not acc. Not mine, it only illuminates when the engine is runnng (??!!)). Must be similar trucks are not wired exactly the same. G.
