Wiring harness...plug and play?

Ordered some wiring harnesses for Christmas. Pretty much a plug and play deal, or is there some modifications to make?

(I've got the underdash main harness, engine harness, front harness, and guages harness that holds the dash lights)

Thanks,

Re: Wiring harness...plug and play?

Pretty much plug and play. If trying to connect a new harness plug into an old one...sometimes that can be fun because the old plugs with heat and cold over time shrink or become brittle. Do the main underdash harness, guage harness then work your way forward. Also...doesn't hurt to order the new firwall grommets...only a couple of bucks but made a big difference when I did my new wiring. Use a little dawn and some water and they will install real nice. I did double check all the wires at the connects to make sure the colors match after finding a turn signal wire in the wrong place.

Where did you get the wiring harness from?

Classic Parts out of Kansas City. I usually do business with them and LMC.

Re: Wiring harness...plug and play?

All my harness's came from Classis Parts. I converted from dummy light to factory guages in my 63 and replaced the harness for that reason. All went well except for finding 2 wires in the wrong places in the plugs for the turn signals. Check your plugs prior to install and you should'nt have any problems.
