I saw that on trucks too and checked into it. Its very expensive and looks like a pain in the you know what to put on. I use California Customs on my wheels and there are guys on this board that can tell you that my wheels almost look like chrome. I use their acid once a year and then touch them up maybe 3 or 4 times a summer with the purple polish. I have also used this xtreem and its good too. I'm thinking the extreem would be nice for doing my valve covers which are like the weld wheels. They spot really bad. Its hard getting a rag in on the valve covers.

In the Spring yes they are ususally off when I do the acid (ususally in my kitchen), but still mounted. Just easier to get all of them. I have done them on the truck. Ususally bottom half then move the truck to where ya dont have to stand on your head.

That stuff is great.... I bought some from a vendor at the dallas auto show last march or whenever it was.... I haven't tried it on my grill but with it and a buffing wheel on a dremel I was able to make my heater controls look like chrome.... even behind the levers where the rough rigdes are....
