Air bags on a 91' burban

I'm new to this site looking for some information. I have a stock 91 suburban looking to do a 3/5 drop or putting air bags. But I dnt know where to start.
Dnt want it too pricey As for the air bags I'm thinking just a front kit. What size of bags,compressor, and tank will I need? Can some one send me a list of parts?

You have quit a few options when it comes to the front . I going to assume since your looking at a 3/5 drop and not to pricey you wouldnt be looking to do a drop member. If you search around the internet you will find quit a few that sell brackets for the front at reasonable prices. As far as airbag, tank, and compressor just remember you get what you pay for. Im running Slam Specialties RE7 on the front great overall airbag. Comps. Viair has never let me down and sell a good rebuild kit if you ever have problems. Tanks can be picked up from lots of different places. We have a local semi bone yard that has every size and shape and material you can imagine from 20 to 50 bucks . So for a simple set up you could run one Viair 480 , one 5 gallon tank, 4 valves for independent control , and a good set of brackets. Hope that helps a little. God what a long post lol

Thanks man all input is needed! Well it sounds like I'm gonna have to save money to get a good set up.
Ok so I've heard about removing leafs from my spring pack to lower the rear and cutting the springs to lower the front. Maybe i can do this till i get the air bags.How hard is that to do?

Cutting your springs is pretty straight forward. A cut off wheel on a grinder does great with minimum heat. A torch weakens the spring quality. Go a half coil at a time and check it as you go.

Cutting springs cant be an abortion on a daily driver. I would stay away from it and save the cash to do it the right way.

I agree with waiting. Those factory springs are already worn out. You may spend quite a bit of time cutting, checking and cutting again. I say save and do it right. You will be more motivated to do it if you keep looking at everyone else's done right.

I agree its not the preferred method . But on a budget it is an option. When i was first lowering anything yes cut springs was the way lol. It motivated me to save and put it on the ground with air.

The only thing that worries about air bags in the rear is the talk about c-notch, 4links,cutting into floor boards. I wanna stay away from that much work. I just want a low stance on air bags. Don't want a body drop or a ground scraper. Any input on that?

Do a small notch on the rear with a piece of 5'' round steal cut to a half moon will give you a little more space.

1 and 1/2 coils should give you 3 inches. it should ride a little worse than stock. handling will be better as they will be a little stiffer but the stock shock will most likely not work as well due to being out of its "sweet spot". you may find that it rides good for a little while and than the ride gets a little bouncier because the stock shock will begin to fail over time. adding a drop shock will cure that. i have done this in the past on a 85 s10 blazer and a 62 bel air and this happened to me. never heat the spring....ever. and i wouldnt cut more than 1 1/2 as you then get into a spring being to harsh. i have seen cut coils on trucks even hill's hot rods (yellow and white one) and foose (overhaulin)have done

i think you should start with the cut spring....ride low and see if you either want to bag it or add drop coils....
